LIVE FLOW. MOVE THE POINTER TO STIR IT

The solver you can read.

OxiPhys is open-source finite element and finite volume software: a Rust core, a Python interface and a desktop app, for static, modal, buckling, thermal and flow analyses, from the sketch to the result.

Each card runs a small model in the page: drag, hover or type. The app does the same work on real geometry, with real meshes.

001DRAG

Static structural

Pull the beam’s free end. The load and deflection follow beam theory for a 1 m steel bar, 50 by 50 mm.

002HOVER

Modal and buckling

Move across to pick a mode. The frequency ratios are the exact ones for a clamped beam: 1, 6.27 and 17.55.

003HOVER

Thermal

Your pointer is a heat source on a plate with cool edges. Watch the heat conduct away.

004DRAG

CFD and OxiTunnel

Drag the cylinder through the stream. This card draws ideal flow; the app solves the full equations.

005HOVER

Meshing

Move across to change the element size. Round extrusions get hexahedra swept from a profile like this one.

006HOVER

Engineering drawings

ISO sheets with sections, dimensions and detail views. Move the detail circle over the part.

007DRAG

Part design in 3D

Sketch, extrude, fillet and turn the part freely. Flick it: it keeps spinning, then settles.

Every figure here comes from the validation suite or the benchmark that ships with OxiPhys, with the settings written down, so you can repeat it on your own machine.

Seven steps, in the order you work.

Click a step to see what happens in it. When a result needs a change, you go back to the geometry or the mesh and solve again.

    Shortcut Ctrl+1

Install it in a few minutes.

Download the setup bundle, unzip it and run the launcher for your system. It installs for your user account only, with no administrator rights, and brings the Gmsh mesher if you want it.

    Download the setup bundle
    Windows installer\Install-OxiPhys-Windows.cmd
    macOS installer/Install-OxiPhys-macOS.command
    Linux sh installer/install-oxiphys-linux.sh

Needs Python 3.9 or newer with Tk. A source download builds the solvers with Rust the first time.
